That’s the realization barrière co-founder Cleo had after trying medical transdermal patches for her own vitamin deficiencies. But they were irritating, inconvenient, and bulky — not made for sustainable habits or realistic routines.

barrière was born not just as a solution to the absorption problem but as a solution to the habit-building problem.

The way your patches are made matters.

M.H.R.A. registered.

While labs in the U.S. aren’t required to be registered with the FDA, our production facility is registered with the M.H.R.A., the U.K. equivalent of the FDA. This helps ensure safety, quality, and efficacy of every batch we make.

Clinically Tested.

All our ingredients are clinically tested with efficacy in gold standard trials. Also known as Randomized Control Trials, this method minimizes outside bias and influence.

Hydrophobic.

We often use hydrophobic vs. hydrophilic versions of ingredients. Also known as fat-soluble, hydrophobic ingredients are able to be stored and later used by your body when needed.

Micronized ingredients.

We keep our ingredient particle size under 50 microns — that’s slightly smaller than the diameter of a human hair. This size allows the ingredients to actually get through the skin barrier.

This study evaluated the safety & tolerability of daily application of patented transdermal vitamin D patches over 8 weeks and assessed its time-level profile. Notably, the study saw the percentage of those classified as vitamin D deficient drop from 23% to 0%. Based on results, long-term (8 weeks) application of patented transdermal vitamin D patches was found to be safe.

Due to the nature of our products, all items are final sale.

We accept returns for refunds or exchanges for items damaged in transit. Upon receipt of the damaged item, please email wecare@mybarriere.com and we will send a replacement if available or issue a full refund once receiving the defective product.
